To celebrate Shiraz Day, we're thrilled to present two exceptional deals featuring one of our most beloved and award-winning wines. Our journey with this wine began in 2006, aiming to showcase the finest produce from the iconic Northern sub-regions of the Barossa Valley - Ebenezer and Koonunga. These regions are renowned for producing some of the world's most sought-after wines, including esteemed labels like Penfolds Grange and Bin 389.

The Bachelor Shiraz is a product of meticulous craftsmanship, carefully selected from our finest vineyard patches, and subjected to a rigorous barrel selection and blending process.

Today's exclusive offer includes the extraordinary 2020 vintage, which has matured beautifully in the bottle, revealing remarkable character. Additionally, you'll have the privilege of a sneak peek at the highly anticipated 2021 vintage, a true gem that won't be available to the general public until 2024!

Here's what renowned wine writer Ray Jordan had to say about it..

Atze’s Corner Bachelor shiraz 2020 ($35)

Plenty to like about this succulent and thoroughly delicious medium to full bodied Barossa shiraz. It’s so silky smooth with bright red fruits a feature. A little dollop of chocolate works well; with a subtle dried herb and sage character. Fine thread of tannins hold it nicely while the oak has been neatly judged. In fact it’s 25% new French with a mix of older French and American.

I’m feeling a nice piece of rare beef happening here!

Score: 93/100

Bachelor Shiraz, tremendous soils and handcrafted tradition.

Named after Bert Kleining, a bachelor who worked the land on
which the fruit is now sourced from. John Kalleske bought the land
when Bert passed away while doing what he love most, working
with his livestock feeding hay. This land would become the site for
some of Johns most prized vineyards, the ancient deep red clays
of Bert’s old block are the secret of the concentration and structure
you see in this wine.

Tasting Note: This classic Barossa Shiraz has a deep ruby red colour.
The nose display raspberry and red plum notes. The complex palate
expose ripe tannins and lovely toasted bread and vanilla aromas
alongside spicy character like cloves and white pepper.

Pairing: Perfect for high grade Wagyu steak or slow roast lamb
Alcohol: 14.5 %

Maturation: 20 Months in 20% New French oak and 3rd and 4th fill
mix of French and American Oak Hogsheads to give stunning oak
smoothness and rich mouthfeel.

Vineyard: Planted 1951-2000. Single cordon spur (hand) pruned
vines, 2.5 tonne/acre, shoot thinned for the vine to produce high
grade fruit.

Sub Regions: Koonunga - Iconic sub regions at Northern tip of
the Barossa Valley. Ancient Red/Brown Clay loam over deep red

Elevation: 270-290 Metres

Cellaring: Drink now to 2032 but be sure to decant it to open it up
and let it quality shine.
