Inspired by the old Roses brought to the Barossa by our German ancestors in the 1800s. Originally grown in their gardens, these roses now bloom around our vineyards to declare summer's arrival. Vermentino, our estate’s only white variety, has an amazing harmony with our warm Mediterranean summers. Fresh acidity, zesty citrus flavours, and delicate floral notes.
Vermentino wine has been a part of the Atze’s range for several vintages now and as the vines mature, Andy’s ideas about how he wants the wine made, and how he wants to drink the wine have developed. We’re now seeing a wine with a little more longevity and an extra degree of zest.
Vermentino hailing from the sunny Mediterranean coasts of France and Italy, is well suited to the Barossa Valley where it soaks up the warm summer days and keeps its fresh acidity.
In Spring you can see the wild roses flowering as they lay scattered across the vineyard floor.
Vinified quite simply and bottled young this Vermentino wine is all about limey citrus and zesty, fresh tangy fruit stunning lingering flavours of honeysuckle and peach. Dry and utterly refreshing this is the perfect wine to drink right through the spring and summer.

It was next level amazing. Drank beautifully now. Will have another one in 5 years and the other in 20 and will be even more amazing I’m sure
It was the first time I tried this durif. It was bold and the favour was good with long lasting taste.
Deep red in colour, full bodied and smooth as silk. Just the wine to go with slow roasted lamb and baked pumpkin wedges, and our adult daughters visiting for the night. An Easter weekend treat, sharing beautiful food and wine with loved ones. Almost made us forget about the imposed social restrictions!
